Great food was the order of the night on Friday when the best amateur and professional chefs put their best forward in the Seafood Cook off.
It was a tough one and winning first place was a tie between Maureen Dalgarno of Tres Cocos with her creamy Conquilie St Jacques and Karen from Lime Bar & Grill with her fish chowder. Mercie Trejo with an orange and ginger shrimp dish won third place.
This week’s cook off generated $410 which will be donated to Holy Cross toward supplies needed for their photocopier. Lime thanks all the fantastic people that made a dish – Jim Oliver from Reef Village, Natasha Montero from Lime Tour Centre, Maureen Dalgarno, Beth Hart of Caribbean Villas, Sharon Metcalfe of Lime Bar, Karen from Lime Grill, Mercie Trejo of El Fogon, Tammy from Hummingbird, Susana Eiley, and Grant Grimmins of Pelican Properties.
The next cook off has been scheduled for Friday, December 11th and is to be the signature dish of all the winners so far. You know this will be good, so mark it on your calendar and swing over to Lime on December 11th.
