Distinct culinary experiences ... Nautica and Legends spice up your meal

The country of Belize is well known for its culinary zeal. Chefs in the country have a knack for mixing up the traditional with a Belizean flair making all dishes unique and truly outstanding. What is great about Ambergris Caye is that the dining experience extends from just one genre of food to a foray of taste bud adventures awaiting everyone. From Asian to Thai, American to Caribbean, experiencing the many available menu items can prove to be an exciting journey for all. This week, we take a look at two different dining experiences that are not only unique in their own rights but offer diverse ambiences, menus and experiences carefully perfected for any palate.

Nautica – Seafood Grill & Bar
Nautica, located deep inside Fido’s Courtyard, indulges in the use of only the freshest ingredients, carefully combined for a supreme taste. Nancy Nida, owner, takes pride in being fearless when it comes to creating signature dishes which are truly Belizean. She accomplishes this through the use of spices, rum and fresh seafood, meats and vegetables which make Nautica one of the best choices when dining out.

Legends Burger House…History in the Making

Appropriately named, the new Legends Burger House is destined to make burger history on La Isla Bonita. The first restaurant in San Pedro to be solely dedicated to the mighty burger, Legends is serving up a wide variety of tasty meals while offering a fun and funky atmosphere. Located just a quarter mile north of the Boca del Rio Bridge, Legends is situated where the landmark restaurant, Sweet Basil used to be. Managers Jewels and Tyler are no strangers to San Pedro and moved here two years ago to run the once popular Sweet Basil restaurant. Over time it was clear that customers were ready for a change and the managers jumped at the chance to make some big changes and really embrace a sense of ownership to the establishment.
